Twenty-three years ago, I embarked on my professional journey, transitioning from a career in track and field to the field of osteopathy in the United Kingdom. My athletic background, coupled with years of service in the National Health Service, has provided me with a unique understanding of body mechanics and healing processes.
As a healthcare professional continually refining my skills, I am committed not only to treating patients but also to educating the public on health maintenance. Currently, I lead a team of experienced professionals, each sharing a passion for their work.

NUMBNESS IN HANDS

Cervical traction for herniated discs at various stages facilitates the restoration of vertebrae to their proper alignment and contributes to the reduction, and in some cases complete disappearance, of the herniation itself.
SPINAL HERNIA DISCS

A Non-Surgical Approach to Alleviating Spinal Pain. For a "slipped disc," Spinal Disc's Decompression Therapy offers a safe, targeted treatment as part of a care program to get you back on your feet.
SPINAL PAIN

Acupuncture for knee pain can alleviate discomfort, enhance blood flow, and contribute to overall joint functionality improvement.
KNEE INFLAMATION

Shock Wave Therapy is a non-invasive medical treatment that uses shock waves to stimulate healing and reduce pain. It may promote tissue regeneration, improve blood circulation, and alleviate pain by targeting the affected area with shock waves.

What is the initial assessment for osteopathy?During your initial consultation the Osteopath will take a full medical case history and any relevant family history, medical conditions, ongoing treatment or medication will be noted. If you have any doctor's reports or medical imaging e.g. X-rays, it would be useful to bring these along to this session.
-
What do you wear to an osteo appointment? You can wear a loose shirt or T/shirt, loose pants or shorts, or bring loose clothes with you to change into at the appointment. During the examination and treatment, you can be asked to remove certain clothing, usually down to your short/pants and bra. A bra that unclips at the back, instead of a sport bra is better.
-
Should you eat before osteopathy?Of course you can eat! You wouldn't be able to relax very much if you were hungry! However, it is not advisable to eat a big meal before your session.
-
Do you Treat Pregnant Women?Yes, our clinic treat pregnant women. We are experienced in providing safe and effective osteopathic treatment to both expecting mothers and infants. Osteopathic treatment during pregnancy is useful for back pain, pelvic pain, neck pain and headaches. Osteopathy can help alleviate the physical stress and strain associated with carrying a baby, as well as help prepare your body for labour and delivery.
-
Is osteopathy safe for babies? There is no minimum age. You can take your baby to an osteopath from birth. If you have any particular concern, the sooner the better. The sooner the baby is seen, the easier it will be to detect and release the tensions that may upset the balance of his body and eventually create various inconveniences.
-
What does an osteopath do to a baby?Osteopathic treatment for babies follows a very gentle and holistic approach that focuses on the root of the problem. Treatment aims to remove any tensions that may have occurred during pregnancy and/or delivery and to restore proper balance and alignment of the body to optimise health and well-being.
-
Can osteopathy help autism? Many children with autism suffer from tension in their muscles. Craniosacral osteopathy can be used to relieve any muscular tension as it helps the patient to slow down emotionally, physically, and mentally. Parents have reported that their children are calmer after a session.
